How to Install Ceiling Fan

Installing this Harbor Breeze Ceiling Fan plus installing a Remote Control, as I do in this video, takes some time. That's why I break down this how to install a ceiling fan video into several segments. If you are familiar with certain phases of installing a ceiling fan, you can just go to the segment you need. If you aren't familiar at all with ceiling fan installation, then I suggest you take your time and watch all the video segments.

My local Home Depot offers classes on fan installation but doesn't necessarily go through all the steps. Check and see if your local store offers similar classes as well.

Remote controls are easy to put in but it take some concentration when wiring. Also make sure that the fan switch is set on high or the remote will not work properly. This is easy to figure out. Hit the high button on the remote. If the fan does not run at the high speed pull the fan chain until it does.

Another tip. If the fan wobbles a lot, check to make sure you have tightened the screws holding the down rod. There are usually two of them. Also, make sure the screws that hold the fan blades are secure. Return from How to Install Ceiling Fan to HandymanTeacher Ceiling Fans
